STOP (Sports Trauma and Overuse Prevention) Sports Injuries from the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) has guidance sheets for sports with the highest rates of overuse and trauma injuries. Its public outreach program focuses on sports safety and raises awareness on how playing safe and smart can enhance and extend a child’s athletic career, improve teamwork, reduce obesity rates and create a lifelong love of exercise and healthy activity.

The FIFA 11+ injury-prevention program is designed to prevent football (soccer) injuries. The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) is the international governing body of association football. FIFA 11+ was developed by a panel of international experts from earlier injury-prevention efforts, including PEP and FIFA 11. The program has 15 exercises and is designed to be performed twice a week for 20 minutes. No specific equipment is needed.
